A 25th birthday in Oklahoma shouldn’t be news.

But Mary Forsythe’s celebration will include a century’s worth of family and friends. She was born 100 years ago, on February 29, 1924. Because that’s Leap Day, it means the actual day has only come 25 times.

For Mary, it’s an undoubtedly special day. For the rest of us, it’s an extension of February. An extra day!
