More than one way to a fresh start

1 min read

There’s an embarrassing habit I hope to break this year.

For most of 2022, I wrote the year as 2002. Off-by-one errors are common, but off by 20? That’s a little harder to fake.

Now that we’ve kicked off 2023, I expect that typo to fade away like Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me.”

(That was the #1 song of 2002… apparently, it started strong in January and stayed hot all year. I had to re-listen to it to even remember I knew the song.)

The new year is a chance to start fresh. Break bad habits. Create new ones. Stop listening to Nickelback (oops, sorry!)

It’s also a chance to reconsider how you engage developers.

My latest post was inspired by this tweet:

You Can Use Both Features and Benefits in Your Developer Marketing digs into how to bring this traditional tenet of marketing into your work with technical audiences.

And it also covers how to avoid over-correcting to share no benefits at all.
